Waste isn’t wasted till we waste it. Our Katran belts are designed using industrial textile waste, which is collected, segregated and then assembled by hand by our wonderful fabric partners.

They are stitched at home by women from lower income groups who are trained to do this. A single metre could take as much two days to stitch.

The matching canvas on the other side makes them reversible belts that can be easily adjusted for size. These belts combine craft, art, sustainability and design and can be easily used on any bag, you’d like to carry with a broad strap.

MATERIAL & CARE

Cork:

Cork is an extremely durable material, light weight and water-resisitant while being scratch-proof and stain proof.

Cork can be easily cleaned with some lukewarm water and gentle liquid soap with a clean cloth.
Allow it to dry naturally away from direct sunlight.
It would be best to store your cork product in a dust bag. Try storing it in a position that doesn't flatten or crumple the product to help retain its shape.
Ageing: Over a long period of time, like any other natural skin such as leather, cork might turn darker due to contact with the human skin and sweat, however, we believe this adds a vintage look to its beauty.

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

We have a strict plastic free and zero-waste packaging policy. Our products are wrapped in reusable jute pouches and repurposable corrugated boxes.

There is free shipping of all orders within India and they will be dispatched after 5-7 working days of receipt of order. International orders will be shipped in 10-12 working days and have an additional shipping charge which is calculated at checkout.

We currently have 3 shipping slabs for our global shipping:

Small ( package weight of 0-2 kgs) : 10$
Medium (package weight of 2-5 kgs) : 15$
Large ( package weight over 5 kgs): 20$

The shipping is calculated at checkout and added to your overall cart value

RETURNS & EXCHANGE

At Beej, we do not hold inventories and we start making a product once we receive your order. This is our little effort to minimize wastage of resources and we thank you for supporting that. We therefore do not offer returns or exchanges at this point. However, in case of a manufacturing defect, please get in touch with us at support@studiobeej.com for a free replacement.
